| | I was just reading Thomas Paines American Crisis. This is a series of books written during the Revolutionary war. In it he says the following: "Yet it is folly to argue against determined hardness; eloquence may
strike the ear, and the language of sorrow draw forth the tear of
compassion, but nothing can reach the heart that is steeled with
prejudice." While he was talking about winning the hearts of some of the colonists that had deserted to the British side during the war...It occured to me there is some truth here regarding evangelism.
